Al-Hirz Essentials
These courses are asynchronous and mandatory prior to enrollment in any degree-granting track. They establish character, discipline, and linguistic access before technical study.
A foundational study of the sublime character of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. Students examine prophetic manners, ethical restraint, humility, and discipline as prerequisites to receiving sacred knowledge and success in life. Emphasis is placed on Ādāb of a Muslim, internal reform, and translating knowledge into lived conduct. This course is required before all academic studies.
An introduction to Arabic literacy through structured training in script formation, phonetics, and reading fluency. Students develop confidence in recognizing letters, sounds, and basic word structures, laying the foundation for understanding Qurʾānic and classical texts.
A grounding course in sincerity, consistency, and epistemic responsibility. Students explore steadfastness in belief, discipline in learning, and protection from intellectual instability, preparing them for sustained academic rigor.
Associate of Islamic Studies
Year 1 – Foundations Program establishing literacy, discipline, and access to advanced Islamic studies
A two-semester continuation focused on articulating meaning, structured writing, and guided exposure to Arabic poetry. Students develop expressive confidence, reading fluency, and comprehension beyond isolated vocabulary and mechanical decoding.
A focused study of Imām Quṭrub's Muthallath, training students in triliteral word variation and semantic nuance. This course builds a strong lexical foundation essential for accurate comprehension and expression across Qurʾānic and classical Islamic texts.
An asynchronous course introducing the core principles of tajwīd alongside an overview of the seven canonical imams of qirāʾāt. Students gain technical recitational accuracy and historical literacy in Qurʾānic transmission.
A poetic and accessible introduction to the sciences of ḥadīth that refines Arabic aptitude, strengthens memorization discipline, and introduces foundational concepts of classification, transmission ethics, and scholarly precision.
